'Pokemon Day 2026' Tournament

Details for the Event:

• Date: February 27th, 2026 - 7:00pm (Rounds start at 7:15pm)
• Format: Modified Standard [Ascended Heroes Legal] (See Below); Best of 1 - 30 minute rounds.
  
  • For each round, a special rule will be active throughout the match to pay tribute to all 9 regions since Pokemon began selected randomly per round.
  • Kanto/Johto - Present Your Badges! - During setup, you do not place Prize Cards, when a card refers to prize cards, they refer to prize points instead, whenever you would take a prize card, you would get a prize point instead. You must obtain 8 prize points to win the match!
  • Hoenn/Sinnoh - Ribbons/Altered Creation - When you take a knockout (even if you don't take a prize), each of your Pokemon in play receives a 'Ribbon' token/counter, that stays until they are knocked out or removed from the play, this effect stacks. (If a Pokemon has at least 2 ribbon tokens, their attacks do +30 more damage and when your opponent’s Active Pokémon is Knocked Out by damage from those attacks, take 1 more Prize card.)
  • Unova/Kalos - Technical Machines or Spirit Links? - Technical Machine Tool Cards can be returned to the player's hand once per turn and no longer discard at the end of turn.
    Once per turn, you can search your deck for a Mega Pokemon that evolves from one of your Pokemon in play and place it on that Pokemon, if you use this ability, your turn ends.
  • Alola/Galar - Are you from here? - Any Pokemon with a Regional name on it's Pokemon text name (example - Alolan Ninetales, Paldean Wooper, Galarian Obstagoon, has no retreat, has no weakness and all attacks cost 1C less.)
  • Paldea - Many hats, many types - BASIC energy attached to a Pokemon also changes the type of the Pokemon it is attached to, if a Pokemon has multiple different energy attached, it is all of those types. All Pokemon have no weakness.
  • New Region? - Pokemon Day may reveal Gen 10 - 1 final special rule will be added if announced on Pokemon Day!

  • Store Credit awarded as follows in each division (if enough participants per division) 
    • 1st - 40% of the Prize Pool + Phantasmal Flames Elite Trainer Box
    • 2nd - 20% of the Prize Pool
    • 3rd/4th - 10% of the Prize Pool
      
    • 5th to 8th - 5% of the Prize Pool
      
  • All players will receive a Pokemon Day - Bulbasaur Promo Card.
    
  • All players will receive a Prize Pack Series 4 Pack
  • Pokemon Day 2026 Collection, Mega Venusaur ex Premium Collection Box and additional Prize Packs will be raffled.
